Looking for an outstanding way to learn more about the prevention and treatment of some of the major chronic diseases through plant-based eating? Do you want to meet people who share your commitment to health, animal rights and the environment? For more than 40 years, Vegan Summerfest has been a premier educational and social event for vegans and those just learning about this way of life.
Unfortunately, due to issues related to staffing at UPJ, we are cancelling Vegan Summerfest 2022. UPJ was very sorry to tell us that they do not have the staff to support big events this summer. They are suffering staff shortages like many businesses across the country. They will be working over the coming year to build back their staff. We are already working on Vegan Summerfst 2023.
Our 2020 lineup of speakers includes doctors, dieticians, chefs, activists, book authors and other educators. Whether you’re interested in healthful living, animal rights, vegan cooking or other lifestyle topics, you’ll have ample opportunities to hear from some of the most knowledgeable educators in their field.
With more than 120 talks planned, you’ll want to check out Vegan Summerfest 2020’s selection of informative programming. Discover our educational sessions addressing the prevention and treatment of some of the major chronic diseases through plant-based eating. You’ll also learn how veganism not only improves your health, but also helps animals and the environment. With a diverse variety of classes, discussion groups, food demos, fitness workouts, yoga, and more, this event is the place to learn about healthy, cruelty-free living!
We’ve teamed up with award-winning vegan chef Mark Reinfeld to offer an amazing variety of scrumptious plant based meals, with a focus on healthy, delicious eating. Raw food and gluten-free options are available, too.
Vegan Summerfest attracts people of all ages – singles, couples and families. The relaxed social atmosphere provides ample opportunities to make connections that will last a lifetime!

“One year ago I came with no idea of what I was getting into and left committed to a whole foods plant-based diet – since then I’ve gotten off [prescription] drugs and lost at least 25 pounds.”
"At the end, I didn't want to leave. This is my first time at Vegan Summerfest and I've learned more here than in my past five years having been a vegetarian."
"I look forward to this conference each year, knowing that I will be able to renew contacts with wonderful people and that I will leave feeling inspired by the outstanding speakers. It is the highlight of my year!”
